Internationally renowned Swedish soprano Miah Persson has worked all over the world as a recitalist and concert artist, as well as on the operatic stage. Engagements during the 2016-2017 season and beyond include Donna Elvira (Don Giovanni) with Opéra Nouvel at the Royal Opera House Muscat; Haydn's Nelson Mass at Salzburg's Internationale Stiftung Mozarteum; Mahler's Symphony No. 2 at the Philharmonie Luxembourg; a US recital tour with Florian Boesch and Malcolm Martineau at venues that include Spivey Hall, Saint Paul's Schubert Club, UC Berkeley's Cal Performances, and the Vancouver Recital Society; and Donna Elvira at Barcelona's Gran Teatre del Liceu.

Throughout her distinguished career, Ms. Persson has performed Gretel (Hänsel und Gretel), Fiordiligi (Così fan tutte),  and Pamina (Die Zauberflöte) at the Metropolitan Opera; Susanna (Le nozze di Figaro) and Zerlina (Don Giovanni)  at London's Royal Opera House, Covent Garden; the title role in L'incoronazione di Poppea at Milan's Teatro alla Scala; Fiordiligi and Susanna at the Vienna State Opera; the Governess (The Turn of the Screw), Anne Trulove (The Rake's Progress), Donna Elvira, and Fiordiligi at the Glyndebourne Festival; Donna Elvira at Paris's Théâtre des Champs-Élysées; Fiordiligi at the Bayerische Staatsoper, Hamburg State Opera, and Tokyo's New National Theatre; Pamina on a concert tour of Europe with Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin conducted by René Jacobs; and the Countess in concert performances of Le nozze di Figaro with the Budapest Festival Orchestra.

Ms. Persson has appeared in concert with the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, Bavarian Radio Symphony Orchestra, and Orchestra dell'Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia, and has given recitals at London's Wigmore Hall, Vienna's Konzerthaus, Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, and Zurich's Tonhalle. Additional engagements have included performances with the Simón Bolívar Symphony Orchestra of Venezuela and Gustavo Dudamel in Salzburg and for London's BBC Proms; Strauss's Four Last Songs with the Orchestre Symphonique de Montréal and Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin; a tour of South America with the Budapest Festival Orchestra; Mahler's Symphony No. 2 with the New York Philharmonic and London Symphony Orchestra; Bach's B-Minor Mass at Teatro La Fenice; Mahler's symphonies No. 2 and No. 4, and Mozart's concert arias with the Los Angeles Philharmonic; Bach's St. Matthew Passion with the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra; and Peer Gynt with the Vienna Philharmonic Orchestra and BBC Symphony Orchestra. 

Recognized as one of the leading accompanists of his generation, Malcolm Martineau has worked with many of the world's greatest singers, including Sir Thomas Allen, Dame Janet Baker, Olaf Bär, Barbara Bonney, Angela Gheorghiu, Susan Graham, Thomas Hampson, Della Jones, Simon Keenlyside, Angelika Kirchschlager, Dame Felicity Lott, Christopher Maltman, Karita Mattila, Ann Murray, Anna Netrebko, Anne Sofie von Otter, Joan Rodgers, Michael Schade, Frederica von Stade, Sarah Walker, and Sir Bryn Terfel.

Mr. Martineau has presented his own series at Wigmore Hall and at the Edinburgh International Festival. He has appeared in prestigious venues throughout Europe, including London's Wigmore Hall and the Barbican; La Scala in Milan; Théâtre du Châtelet in Paris; Gran Teatre del Liceu in Barcelona; Berlin's Philharmonie and Konzerthaus; Amsterdam's Concertgebouw; and Vienna's Konzerthaus and Musikverein. He has also performed in New York's Carnegie Hall and Alice Tully Hall; at the Sydney Opera House in Australia; and at the Aix-en-Provence, Vienna, Schubertiade Schwarzenberg, and Salzburg festivals.

Recording projects have included the complete Beethoven folk songs and Schubert, Schumann, and English song recitals with Bryn Terfel; Schubert and Strauss recitals with Simon Keenlyside, as well as the Grammy-winning Songs of War; recital recordings with Angela Gheorghiu, Barbara Bonney, Magdalena Kožená, Della Jones, Susan Bullock, Solveig Kringelborn, Anne Schwanewilms, Dorothea Röschmann, and Christiane Karg; the complete Fauré songs with Sarah Walker and Tom Krause; the complete Britten folk songs; the complete Poulenc songs, the complete Britten song cycles, as well as Schubert with Florian Boesch; Reger with Sophie Bevan; and the complete Mendelssohn songs.

Born in Edinburgh, Mr. Martineau studied at St. Catharine's College, Cambridge, and the Royal College of Music. He was a given an honorary doctorate at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama in 2004, and appointed an international fellow of accompaniment in 2009. Mr. Martineau was the artistic director of the 2011 Leeds Lieder festival. He was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire in the New Year's Honours 2016.
