Cancelled: All Together—Songs for Joy

Sunday, April 5, 2020 7 PM Zankel Hall
Inspired by personal narrative and a new translation of Friedrich Schiller’s “Ode to Joy”—reimagined for our contemporary moment by former poet laureate Tracy K. Smith—New Yorkers of all ages come together with mezzo-soprano Joyce DiDonato to explore their bold visions for joy through new and original songs. This event is part of All Together: A Global Ode to Joy, a worldwide exploration of Beethoven’s Ninth Symphony and the power of music to amplify all voices.

Part of: All Together, Joyce DiDonato Perspectives, and Beethoven Celebration
