Samantha Hankey by Dario Acosta
Mezzo-soprano Samantha Hankey has been praised by Opera News for her “dazzling” singing. She has appeared at Norway’s Den Norske Opera, the Grand Théâtre de Genève in Switzerland, and, closer to home in the US, the Metropolitan Opera. In addition to her operatic performances, she frequently appears on the recital stage, singing Handel at Carnegie Hall, Richard Strauss at Alice Tully Hall, and more. She is joined by pianist Chris Reynolds, who has won critical praise as a soloist and collaborative artist. His recent appearances include Bayreuth, Carnegie Hall, and Tanglewood.
Due to an injury, soprano Hannah Rose Kidwell has withdrawn from this performance. Mezzo-soprano Samantha Hankey will perform in her place with pianist Chris Reynolds.
